BIIBC Junior International Series 2018

The Jim Baker Stadium will once again host the BIIBC Junior International Series after a successful event 4 years ago. Teams from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales will compete for the Joyce Brimble Memorial Trophy over two days of high quality competitive action as England look to retain their trophy to make it 3 wins in a row.

The competition will officially begin with the opening ceremony on Saturday 17th February 2018 at 9am followed by the first session of games from 9.45am. Following lunch the second session will commence at 3pm. The final session will then take place on Sunday 18th February at 9am before the closing ceremony and the presentation of the Joyce Brimble Memorial Trophy.

The full schedule for the event is as follows:

Saturday 17th February
8.30am – Players and Officials report to the stadium.
8.50am – Guests to be in their reserved seating.
9.00am – Opening Ceremony.
9.15am – Photocall for Players & Presidents.
9.40am – Team Managers report to Control & bowls for inspection on the Rinks of Play.
9.45am – Trial ends commence. Rinks 2-5 Scotland v Ireland. Rinks 8-11 England v Wales. First session of play commences under the control of the Umpires. 21 ends or a time limit of four hours.
1.45pm – LUNCH
2.35pm – Team Managers report to Control & bowls for inspection on the Rinks of Play.
2.45pm – Trial ends commence. Rinks 2-5 England v Ireland. Rinks 8-11 Scotland v Wales. Second session of play commences under the control of the Umpires.

Sunday 18th February
8.45am – Players and officials report to the stadium.
9.00am – Team Managers report to Control & bowls for inspection on the Rinks of Play.
9.15am – Trial ends commence. Rinks 2-5 Ireland v Wales. Rinks 8-11 England v Scotland. Third and final session of play commences under the control of the Umpires.
2.00pm – Presentation of the Joyce Brimble Trophy & Closing Ceremony

Bar and catering facilities will be available throughout the two days play and there will also be the opportunity to win a brand new set of bowls, as well as a host of other prizes in our ballot. Admission by programme available at the door for £3.
